What to Wear: Wake

One thing you must know about dressing for a wake or a funeral is: wear black. If you are able to wear all black then that’ll be perfect but if you don’t own all black, dark blue and grey is now acceptable as well.

You also want to make sure you are not showing any cleavage ladies! Black dress shoes are important to wear with the outfit as well. If you need more help in picking out an outfit we suggest looking at the “Church / Place of Worship Attire” dress code. But remember to stick to black. And- Remember, you are in a holy place of prayer- in almost every religion it is important to cover up most skin.
